ScottWhitbyStudio is an architecture and creative consultancy that operates within, on, and outside the boundaries of traditional architectural practice. The Studio works with a diverse array of clients; from home-owners to international property companies and cultural institutions, on commissions that vary in scale and typology.

Our projects range from temporary sculptural installations to projects that will take 30 years to complete. We are interested in working on creatively challenging projects that require our dexterous approach to solving our clients’ briefs in an imaginative and life-enriching way.

We delight in creating robust, durable and engaging spaces for people to conduct their lives in just as much as we enjoy creating one-off experiences that change people's perceptions of the ordinary.

We operate across borders and work internationally with studios in London, Moscow and Dubai.  Through collaborating globally with our diverse international team of studio members and project partners, we aim to deliver real creative value for our clients regardless of scale, scope, and location of project.

Our Process:

Often our solutions arrive through a rigorous client-centred process of debate and discussion, where we take the time to listen and learn from our clients’ needs and requirements whilst also researching independently into the area that they have tasked us to investigate.

In the past this has meant that we have volunteered on weekly evening soup runs to better understand the workings of a homeless charity and travelled with our client to New York to look at tall building exemplars. We have also cooked dinners in our clients’ kitchens and asked their children to create video diaries, so that we might experience how they live.

We hope that the process is one of shared exploration and that clients feel they have learned as much working with us as we have working with them, and that our creative energy has offered inspiration in the process of designing something remarkable.
